Quack Hen

We’ll figure it out in style, in production B)

Hello, I’m Quack Hen (name changed), the evil mastermind behind this ass-end of the internet. I set this place up so I would have some skills to show when applying to jobs, but I have been toying with the idea of making a website where I could show cool quackers cool things. But you hopefully did read about QuackDen already, let’s start with the introduction.

I’m just a small-town duck, livin’ in a lonely world, who took the midnight train goin’ anywhere. Nerd in every sense of the word, I have my interests in 3D printers, home labbing and automation, electrical.. engi-tinkering, giving IT support and just generally being the coolest of all quackers.

Right to repair is incredibly based and if you look around you might see me disassembling everything neat I get my wing-y grippers onto, usually when fixing them but I tend to open everything I buy after the warranty is out (if I can wait for so long).

I’m a fast learner when it comes to anything even remotely interesting and I don’t have issues with looking for info from documentations and forums. Good examples would be Linux, Klipper 3D-printers and I the tiniest bit of knowledge when it comes to circuits, enough to know that I don’t know enough but still able to troubleshoot simple electronics. For now I think I’ll keep more specific skills where they are relevant, but I’ll try to think of a smart way to quickly show them here, no promises though.

If you are reading this because you got the link from my job application, then just a heads-up, this place is not a professional site, there will be cussing, non-wordy words, whining about issues of any kind but this does not mean that I don’t know how to act in a professional environment. if the above is an issue then I’d strongly suggest to stay away from the blog and just staying with the introductions and finished projects. Blog includes ongoing projects but with zero focus on how I talk about them, after project is done I’ll start censoring myself and modifying old writings into a final and maybe even somewhat professional versions. If not then hope you enjoy me complaining about debugging and integration hell 😉
